With the increasing availability of affordable
desktop video editing solutions, editing suites have become
accessible to even the average home user. What was once a costly
field to even consider entering is now enjoying an industry
boom. With independent film makers now being able to produce
and edit their films with an "all in one" solution,
the need for training to hone the skills for video editing is
still our top priority.
The Digital Video Editing program provides students with the
theoretical knowledge and the hands-on training necessary to
establish themselves as professionals in this industry. The
Toronto Film School gives students access to one of the largest
installations of AVID systems in North America as well as instructors
who are current industry professionals, providing the perfect
training ground for learning.
Working with both the Digital Television department and the
Sound Technology department gives students a better understanding
of what working in a professional post-production environment
will be like. From acquiring footage and working with the director
to sending the final edit off to a sound engineer for sound
and scoring, students will be a part of the entire post-production
process of a short film as one of their final projects.
With the skills learned at Academy you can be confident that
you will be able to seamlessly enter this ever-evolving industry.
Don't just watch - create! |
